Since the Nationals have been in our nation’s capital one thing two things have been certain. They finished out of first place in the National League East and Teddy Roosevelt had never won a mascot race. Well we are all aware one of those certainties was erased two nights ago when the Washington Nationals clinched the National League East title. Now, ladies and gentlemen, it appears we might want to make sure the sky isn’t falling:

They weren’t going to let it happen again.
The Atlanta Braves, losers of eight-consecutive games to the rival Phillies seemed to reach a tipping point last night. Down six and staring at the possibility of losing their ninth straight by way of shutout it seemed improbable that the Braves would be able to overcome such a deficit.
