Sports Illustrated put out its first issue in 1954. Since then, to grace its cover has been an achievement to strive for among athletes.
For 20 years B.J. Schecter has been a part of Sports Illustrated and the magnificent work they do covering the world of sports. After spending five years at The Boston Globe, B.J. worked his way up at Sports Illustrated where, today, he is an Executive Editor for Sports Illustrated and SI.com, oversees SI’s investigative team, and is Editor of Campus Rush; Sports Illustrated’s site dedicated to covering the passion, tradition, and stories of college athletics.
