I met Teri Carson a little over two years ago while working for a sports marketing company in Irvine, California. One of the things that stuck out to me was her energy and her drive to do any and everything possible to achieve a goal. As it turns out, that was just the tip of the iceberg when describing just how much she makes things happen.
Not even 25 years old, she’s already worked for a University’s NCAA compliance office, was a member of the San Diego Padres “Pad Squad” for four years, and is currently a coordinator for the more than 1,300 volunteers who will be in San Diego next month for Major League Baseball’s Midsummer Classic.
Oh, and she’s also in Law School.
On today’s podcast Teri and I discussed a range of things. Including her upbringing (4:00), when she decided she wanted to go to law school (10:00), her time with the Pad Squad (15:00), the challenges of breaking into the sports industry (20:00), why an extensive network is so important (30:00), and what it takes to stand out among your peers in one of the most competitive industries in the world (35:00).
