It’s already been a tough preseason for some fantasy football notables.

Within the span of ten days owners were no longer able to depend on the services of Jordy Nelson and Kelvin Benjamin; and within the span of four days owners very nearly lost Mike Evans and Randall Cobb.

We all hope to draft them.

You know who I’m talking about. We want those players who played at such a high level late in the season that they get you so stoked about the next you can barely control your excitement. A breakout player in fantasy football isn’t just a player; he’s a bragging right. An “I told you so” that buys you one to two years of respect, more if you do it consistently. You will no doubt rely on them at least once this season. Those bargain players that get you by on a bye week or through a tough stretch of injuries or suspensions. They’re always on the waiver wire, a Branden Oliver or Chris Sims.  Continue reading “Fantasy Football 2015: Fantasy Football “Bargain” Players (A.K.A. Rookies.

They can be season saving revelations (Odell Beckham, Jr.) or send an entire positional unit into limbo (Bishop Sankey). I’m here to help you keep perspective while not talking yourself out of some of these players entirely.

A word of caution before I begin: very few are worth building your team around unless you’re playing in a Dynasty League. As long as you remember this, we’re going to be just fine.  Continue reading “Fantasy Football 2015: Ranking The Top-6 Rookies To Target In Fantasy Football”

Isaiah Crowell had an even more effective 2014 than his numbers (607 yards, 8 TD, 4.1 YPC) indicated and he's in line to be the feature back in Cleveland.

I make no secret about my dream job in sports: to be the General Manager of an NFL or MLB team. Until then, I get my fix playing and writing about fantasy sports and giving opinions on sports topics. MLB Preview 2015: A Tale Of Two Philosophies For Marlins And Padres In 2015

James Shields has averaged 14 wins, 33 starts, and a 3.72 ERA every season since 2007.
James Shields, 32,  has averaged 14 wins, 33 starts, and a 3.72 ERA every season since 2007. He signed a 4-year, $75 million dollar contract this past offseason to continue that production in Southern California.

This past Major League Baseball offseason was the most intriguing I’ve witnessed in years.

Of all the interesting moves that went down perhaps the most interesting were how two markets (Miami and San Diego) made themselves relevant in two very different ways.  Continue reading “MLB Preview 2015: A Tale Of Two Philosophies For Marlins And Padres In 2015”
