Sarah Spain is one of my favorite personalities in sports media and media in general. Between her knowledge of sports and courage when tackling social issues there are reasons aplenty for that. So I could not be more excited to have her on as a guest. Continue reading “S2, Ep. 14: Sarah Spain, ESPN”

DougBaldwin
The Seahawks’ Doug Baldwin could be in line for a nice string of matchups the next four weeks. Just in time to carry you into the playoffs and beyond.

Ladies and gentleman, we’ve come to week 13.

If your commissioner knows what they’re doing (and I assume they all do) then this week should wrap up the regular season for your fantasy leagues. Now is the time when not just money, bragging rights, and personal dignity is on the line; but the opportunity to achieve all of those things is on the line.  Continue reading “Fantasy Football 2015: Week 13 Waiver Wire Targets, And Playoffs?”

2015 NFL Preview: NFC Division Predictions

I like Seattle to win the NFC West again in 2015 despite a holdout from Kam Chancellor. But a division rival might have the last laugh in playoffs. (AP Photo/John Froschauer)

Division and playoff predictions are tricky in the NFL.

Every week a team can look like a “team to beat” or the worst team you’ve ever seen. With the NFL only playing 16 games, one could put themselves in a situation to be roundly criticized for picking the wrong team without the benefit of hindsight.  Continue reading “2015 NFL Preview: NFC Division Predictions”

Fantasy Football 2015: Fantasy Football “Bargain” Players (A.K.A. The Deep Sleepers) That Could Hit It Big In ’15

You will no doubt rely on them at least once this season. Those bargain players that get you by on a bye week or through a tough stretch of injuries or suspensions. They’re always on the waiver wire, a Branden Oliver or Chris Sims.  Continue reading “Fantasy Football 2015: Fantasy Football “Bargain” Players (A.K.A. Rookies.

They can be season saving revelations (Odell Beckham, Jr.) or send an entire positional unit into limbo (Bishop Sankey). I’m here to help you keep perspective while not talking yourself out of some of these players entirely.

A word of caution before I begin: very few are worth building your team around unless you’re playing in a Dynasty League. As long as you remember this, we’re going to be just fine.  Continue reading “Fantasy Football 2015: Ranking The Top-6 Rookies To Target In Fantasy Football”

Garrett Grayson: Breaking Down The 2015 NFL Draft’s Dark Horse Quarterback

Garrett Grayson was a top-10 Quarterback in passing yards, efficiency, and touchdowns his seniior season at Colorado State. Will that translate to NFL success?
Garrett Grayson was a top-10 Quarterback in passing yards, efficiency, and touchdowns his seniior season at Colorado State. Will that translate to NFL success?

Garrett Grayson comes into the 2015 draft as the forgotten man at Quarterback.

Media coverage of Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota as the top two quarterback prospects in the class and the obsession of whether or not a running back will go in the first round have overshadowed Grayson and his potential to become a quality NFL starting quarterback. Fantasy Football 2014: Fantasy Football Quarterback Tiers Done My Way

Jekyll and Hyde?: Games 1-8: Stafford's numbers were 2,617 yards, 16 TD's, 6 INT's and a 94.7 rating. Games 9-16: 2,033 yards, 13 TD's, 13 INT's and a 72.1 rating
Jekyll and Hyde?: Stafford’s first-half numbers (2,617 yards, 16 TD’s, 6 INT’s and a 94.7 rating) didn’t resemble anything he did in the second-half ( 2,033 yards, 13 TD’s, 13 INT’s and a 72.1 rating)

The quarterback position is the most important position in fantasy football.

Go ahead and disagree. I say that without a hint of reservation or sarcasm. It doesn’t make sense to place the hopes of a well drafted team in the hands of someone who isn’t going to consistently give you the production you need from, what should be, the steadiest spot on your roster.
