Fantasy Football 2014: Fantasy Football Quarterback Tiers Done My Way

Jekyll and Hyde?: Games 1-8: Stafford's numbers were 2,617 yards, 16 TD's, 6 INT's and a 94.7 rating. Games 9-16: 2,033 yards, 13 TD's, 13 INT's and a 72.1 rating
Jekyll and Hyde?: Stafford’s first-half numbers (2,617 yards, 16 TD’s, 6 INT’s and a 94.7 rating) didn’t resemble anything he did in the second-half ( 2,033 yards, 13 TD’s, 13 INT’s and a 72.1 rating)

The quarterback position is the most important position in fantasy football.

Go ahead and disagree. I say that without a hint of reservation or sarcasm. It doesn’t make sense to place the hopes of a well drafted team in the hands of someone who isn’t going to consistently give you the production you need from, what should be, the steadiest spot on your roster. Jordan Matthews left Vanderbilt as the All-Time, SEC leader in receptions and receiving yards. He'll be equally as good on Sundays in Philadelphia for the Eagles

It is that time of year again, folks.

We are three weeks away from the start of the NFL season but fantasy football is already in full swing. My trash talk game is already in midseason form so I’m good to go. Continue reading “Fantasy Football 2014: Top-10 Breakouts Players In 2014”

Fantasy Football 2014: Depth At Running Back Is Better Than Advertised

Chargers running back Danny Woodhead has averaged 335 yards and two touchdowns receiving a year since 2009. Combined with his rushing statistics that makes him a a top-20 running back annually no matter the format

My old fantasy football drafting habits are hard to let go of.

After all this time playing I still can’t bring myself to draft a running back first without a lot of hesitation. I am that guy who gets lured into not being able to resist the consistent production that comes with Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Peyton Manning. Can you blame me? Since 2010 they’ve all, at some point, finished in the top-3 in scoring among all players. Continue reading “Fantasy Football 2014: Depth At Running Back Is Better Than Advertised”

NFL Preview 2014: First Things First, Lets Talk Top-5 Training Camp Questions

Jay Cutler and the Bears have all the makings of a title contender. Can they put it all together in 2014?
Jay Cutler and the Bears have all the makings of a title contender. Can they put it all together in 2014?

I can’t believe it is that time of year already.

When The Worldwide Leader begins their annual camping trips to places like Flowery Branch, GA, Oxnard, CA, and Bourbonnais, IL that can only mean one thing: training camp is starting for the NFL. Continue reading “NFL Preview 2014: First Things First, Lets Talk Top-5 Training Camp Questions”

National Football League 2014: Some Friends And I Ranked All 32 NFL Quarterbacks, The Results Were Interesting

Joe Flacco and Ben Roesthlisberger both own Super Bowl rings, but didn't get much top-10 love in the rankings
Joe Flacco (average rank: 12.5) and Ben Roesthlisberger (average rank: 11.3) both own Super Bowl rings, but didn’t get much top-10 love in the rankings

I thought it would be fun to ask a few of my friends to rank all 32 starting quarterbacks in the NFL as they saw fit. As you can expect, once some of them (myself included) got into the process they realized that ranking them was more difficult than first thought. National Football League Draft 2014: So The Rams, Browns, Texans, Jaguars, and Raiders Need A Quarterback? I’ve Got A Suggestion

Brett Smith of Wyoming might be this year’s draft gem at Quarterback

The NFL draft is May 8 and this time of year always makes me scratch my head. Continue reading “National Football League Draft 2014: So The Rams, Browns, Texans, Jaguars, and Raiders Need A Quarterback? I’ve Got A Suggestion”

I’m going to get this off my chest because enough has been said about Richard Sherman that now I’m bothered. Lets cover some facts: Continue reading “Richard Sherman Isn’t A Bad Person, Nor Did He Say A Bad Thing”

Fantasy Football 2013: Losing To A Hall of Famer, Unleashing DeAndre Hopkins, Buying The Kansas City Chiefs Defense, & Fantasy Tips For Week 3

Another week in the books in Fantasy Football as we march towards the colder weather (unless you live in Southern California then it’s “slightly” colder). Not exactly an inspiring performance this week in my leagues (2-2) Continue reading “Fantasy Football 2013: Losing To A Hall of Famer, Unleashing DeAndre Hopkins, Buying The Kansas City Chiefs Defense, & Fantasy Tips For Week 3”

2013 Fantasy Football: Defenses/Special Teams To Target (And Be Wary Of) In 2013

Tyrann Mathieu and Patrick Peterson have made me a believer in the 2013 Arizona Cardinals defense
Tyrann Mathieu and Patrick Peterson have made me a believer in the 2013 Arizona Cardinals defense

It’s easy to look over your defense and special teams position on your roster. Believe me, for years I played fantasy football and just rotated my defenses based on match-ups unless I had the rare opportunity to have a top-5 defense. 2013 Fantasy Football Rookies I Would Plug In Day One, Pt. 3: Tight Ends

Tyler Eifert is my top rookie target at the TE position for 2013
Tyler Eifert is my top rookie target at the TE position for 2013

It will come as little surprise that of all the positions a Fantasy Football owner would stress about in the middle rounds, Tight End, would be high on that list.  Continue reading “2013 Fantasy Football Rookies I Would Plug In Day One, Pt. 3: Tight Ends”
